RED LIKE A BEET

4 new international awards for Beetroot design group. This time in one of the most famous international design competitions, the red dot awards. Beetroot received 1 red dot design award: best of the best 2009 for the self promotion website beetroot.gr and 3 Red dot design awards 2009 for the Arab world poster, Zen Mascaro catalogue and NoMint’s corporate identity. Beetroot is very excited and already making plans for attending the festive awards ceremony, next December in Germany.

Red dot design award 2009 for Arab World poster. An exhibition poster that is inspired by the way arab people see things through the burga. The cutout in the eyes’ height, invites one to see through it and “crop” as one would be in their shoes. Co-ordination (and Client): Apeiron photos

Red dot design award 2009 for Zen Mascaro Catalogue. A catalogue for the fashion collection ZEN MASCARO created by the Japanese designer Yutaka Terao for the company E&K fashion group. The use of vector shapes on the actual photo of the model refer to the Bacchae: girls that followed god Dionysos and Panas to their feasts and orgies.
