Greek mythology re-visited! Ancient Greek myths can always be triggers for creativity. Minotaur, Cerberus and Chimera are usually frightening and ugly creatures. That’s a “myth”. The truth is that all Greek ancient beasts were actually nice!… (Nice monsters illustrations: Ink on paper)

Today beetroot designs “the future” for BHMAGAZINO magazine. In this issue BHMAGAZINO celebrates it’s 10th anniversary and holds an article about the year 2020. Our visual comment tries to motivate people for two things. An eco-friendly a way of living and a less digital socialization. Photos by Aimilia Panagiotou. You can also check some light-drawing experiments that came up during the shooting.

One more year Beetroot’s entry made it in a Poster4Tomorrow contest.
Our submission “Facing death poster.” was selected amongst the 100 best posters of the “Death is not Justice” contest. It’s also one of the 30 posters that were censored in Ireland. The exhibition in the City Hall of Belfast is now cancelled by the organizers who refused the censorship.
As a selected poster our submission will be featured in the catalogue and exhibitions that are taking place around the world this October.
The list of exhibitions is available here.

The Dimitria installations were spotted throughout the city. Glad to see that they trigger interaction with the public. They also help people to communicate their own ideas or events!(Poster on the owl installation)

Great News! Our entry made it as a judges pick at the Design21 competition by UNESCO! The task was to design a logo for the “Award of Excellence for Handicrafts”. There were 658 entries from 435 entrants in 80 countries. Our logo was selected by Indrasen Vencatachellum as his Judge’s Pick. Indrasen had this to say about his choice: I like the simplicity of the design, the use of the circle reflecting the universal scope of the Award and the symbolic representation of hand perfection.
