Your intentions transform you into a hero. You want to meet, to participate, to conquer. Your craving gives birth to a source of stamina you did not know that you possess. As pleasure floods your body, life becomes beautiful, fresh and worthy of your effort. You are not alone. You two, or more, become one. You become more.
Beetroot Design Group invites you to “eros”, its latest, exciting exhibition that celebrates the most basic reason that brings human together: sexual attraction and ultimately making love!
In the unforgiving routine of everyday life where human relationships are challenged, being sexually attracted to other human beings as well as desiring to make love just for the pleasure it brings, is presented through the eyes of Beetroot, as an independent and honest human practice that is important for our personal psychological balance.

Beetroot was commissioned to design the “Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union” logo.
A sailboat in full sail is formed from the initials of the European Union (e.u.). The means by which the ancient peoples managed to contact and connect with each other, reminds us of the beginnings of the European people’s union as well as the fact that the present-day European citizens are sailing together towards a common future.
This symbol of transition and exploration is presented here as an allegory of the communication between European people and the need for a harmonious and productive cohabitation and collaboration, within certain space, in a shared journey to growth.
Application, Game, Tool. Every software code contains the skill, talent and dreams of its makers. Beetroot’s design for the Google Developer Festival Thessaloniki identity, focus on the unsung code poets who spend most of their lives behind a computer screen, to make ours better. The 1st Google DevFest Thessaloniki begins tomorrow at TIF-HELEXPO!
A brain containing a phosphorescent heart (only visible in darkness): Beetroot celebrates mankind’s ability to create, as the result of the productive relationship between rational thinking and impulsiveness, wisdom and experimentation, technique and art, the objective and the subjective.
The generation of culture emerges as the culmination of the eternal clash of science and instinct – man’s need to “understand” against the sense of his own mortality.
“Think Feel” was originally created as a cover illustration for the prestigious international design magazine novum and is now available as numbered limited edition silkscreen print.

“Greece: the richest place in the world”
by Beetroot
…as long as we can get rid of some “setbacks”!
The wonderful beaches, unique products, exquisite services and the hospitality, Greece is known for, should never be compromised by “setbacks”.
Beetroot created a series of videos, commissioned by the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Greek National Tourism Organization about the simple, everyday things that can really make a difference in Greek tourism growth.
We are very happy to announce that our ”A couple of drops” Extra Virgin Olive oil packaging won a merit at The Dieline Package Design Awards 2013!
According to Yo Santosa (judge & founder of Ferro Concrete): ”(Our packaging) is a fun, playful design that makes me happy to use olive oil. It’s a delightful way to make the kitchen a more inviting place. I admire its clever use of materials. It’s a smart creative solution that’s cute to boot.”

The «Double-Headed Eagle of the North» is one of the most recognized and celebrated emblems in Greece and worldwide, as for more than eighty years it inspires the athletes and supporters of the Pan-Thessalonian Athletic Club of Constantinopolitans (P.A.O.K.) while also being a strong reminder of the historic sport club’s deep roots.
Beetroot redesigned the classic emblem with enthusiasm but also with respect to its rich past so that it can reflect the contemporary status of the football club as well as the determination with witch it will “play ball” in the years to come.
The feathers and eyes were redesigned in a dynamic style so that the eagle, together with the characteristic black and white striped crest, forms the team’s heart – a reference to the fans that support the team all these years.
The team initials’ typography become a strong visual element that may even stand on its own as the edgy, austere and contemporary letterforms are crowned by the date of the club’s establishment in a timeless manner.

Видимо се тамо!
Beetroot is proud to be one of the 30 international studios selected by étapes magazine to be featured in this truly intriguing publication.
Merci beaucoup magazine de étapes!
Short description by the publishers:
30 studios by étapes on a journey to the heart of contemporary creation. These thirty portraits of designers were chosen by the editors of étapes with the goal of always valuing remarks and proposals that would enhance the power of graphic design. “Graphic design is a vibrant, visual and provocative exploration of contemporary culture” as the New York studio 2 × 4 stated this book. The proposed trip here is trans-disciplinary: illustration, typography, photography, poster, packaging, book design. Whether Copenhagen, Tokyo, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, London or Berlin, the question of creation is questioned in all directions and in all its forms. From one continent to another is liable for reminding about the designer must constantly reinvent its business. Richly illustrated throughout this book provides a picture of what today’s graphic design.

Beetroot is honored to join twenty four of the world’s leading designers in this year’s jury for the red-dot communication design awards! After winning the prestigious international competition’s highest distinction as agency of the year in 2011, Beetroot is invited to be the judge of the best work in more than twenty categories including advertising, promotion and graphic design.
Yiannis Charalambopoulos will be representing the team. Beetroot’s contribution as jury will be to keep an eye open not only to those created radical work, but also managed to convince their clients to let them do it! We definitely need more of those!
“Edgar Alan Poe’s Alone” (2012) by Beetroot
Poe’s Letters
Luminous Entities
Avoiding
Abandoning
Alone
Context transforms
Distance becomes a Frail relation
Solitude
“Edgar Alan Poe’s Alone” (2012) is Beetroot’s latest endeavor in developing new visual systems by transforming form and context.
To illustrate further the feeling of desolation and loneliness a system is made where each particle repels all others.
Letters become living entities.
The simulation finally settles when each one has maximum distance from the others within a confined space.
Words are connected together via a transparent web so that some degree of readability remains.
The poem’s structure is destroyed by it’s context.
Our new limited edition print after the homonymous 1875 poem (High resolution archival inject print on Smooth Cotton High White, 100% Cotton 315 gsm paper) will be available for a limited time through Mangel-Wurzel.com.
